Okonomiyaki is popular pan fried food in Japan.
Okonomiyaki is made of flour, grated japanese yam, water and dashi, eggs , shredded cabbage, and other ingredients such as green onion, meat, pork , shrimp, vegetables, konjac, mochi.
When you eat it, spread sauce over Okonomiyaki (and add mayonnaise if you like it).. The sauce taste like a mixture of Worcestershire sauce and steak sauce. Okonomiyaki is not sweet at all.
I recommend you to go to one restaurant named Jumbo in Kyoto.
They have super-sized Okonomiyaki!!
The restaurant is very popular among local people not only among tourists.
